‛‛Mother language is a treasure that can’t be replaced in any  richness of the world. The one who hardly knows his native language is a half man, the one who doesn’t commonly  know it, is miserable,as the fallen tree leaf that swings from any randomly   wind‛‛.

  The matinee by the rubric of ‛‛Our forever key is our language‛‛ dedicated to the international mother language day was organized at Vanadzor N 17 high school after M.Khorenatsi by the teacher of Armenian language and literature Anush Simonyan with the participation of the 10-12 th grade best pupils.

On February 21, the festive mood reigned at Vanadzor  N17 high school.

The aim was once again to appreciate, love,  to  express pride and carefulness  towards the mother language.

The teacher congratulated them on the occasion of the holiday, indicated  the meaning and the purpose of the event.  

   The teacher aimed that Armenian language will be perceived as the language of higher value and pupils should love and appreciate it more,  learn better, speak correctly and keep pure our gold lettered and silver-tongued Armenian language.

  Afterwards pupils introduced the role and the meaning of language for a person, recited poems quoting  the words of appreciation and admiration, idiomatic  expressions by famous Armenian and foreign people about Armenian language .They sang songs.

   Beautiful recitation was accompanied by Tigran Mansourian exciting music and the presentation of the sightseeing places of Armenia.The event ended with  roundelay.

The festive atmosphere was secured and the pupils  understood that  the Armenian language needs daily care and wouldn’t tolerate any encroachment and arbitrary attitude towards our wonderful language.

It was decided that the event would  become  traditional  and be held as the internatioanal mother language day on 21 February.
