The creation and activity of “Union OF SCHOOL-CENTRES “ UNION OF LEGAL ENTITIES
In 2004 the territory of the Republic of Armenia was devided into 52 educational areas (clusters) and 52 school-centres (SC-s) were chosen according to those “educational areas”.
The selected schools within the framework of “Education Quality and Relevance” supported by World Bank’s first credit program became schhol-cetres not only teachers’ trainings, but also the experimental and innovational centres of secondary education.
After the implementation of “Education Quality and Relevance” supported by World Bank’s first credit program in the result of discussions between school-principal’s, Minsitry of Education and Science and other stakeholders it was suggested to create “Union of School-Centres” Union of Legal Entities (hereafter USC) for developing and coordinating the activity of school-centres.
According to RA Government resolution N. 1707-N, December 23, 2010 it was allowed to establish the “Union of School-Centers” Union of Legal Entities.
On January 27, 2011 the «Union of School-Centres» was registered as non-profit organization.
On August 1, 2012 a contract was signed between MoES “Center for Education Projects” Project Implementation Unit and the “Union of School-Centers” Union of Legal Entities according to which the activity of “Union of School-Centers” Union of Legal Entities was officially launched.
According to RA Government resolution N. 483-A, May 8, 2013, 36 new schools were included in “Union of School-Centers” Union of Legal Entities in the result of which the number of member schools became 88.
On February 27-28, 2014 an annual conference was organized by USC in the “House of Writers”, Tsakhadzor where a seminar on ''How to make a grant-proposal'' was held. During the meeting an Understanding Memorandum about cooperation in the educational field was sighned between the “Union of School-Centers” Union of Legal Entities and “Dilijan International School of Armenia”.
